Mamarchevo



The village of Mamarchevo is situated in south-eastern Bulgaria, gently nested in north-western parts of Strandja mountain. The neighbouring to the village settlements are: the villages of Sitovo, Zlatinitsa, Malko Sharkovo. About 10-12 km away from Mamarchevo is the Municipal town of Boliarovo, south-east of the village is located the town of Elhovo (20 km) and the south Black sea coastal towns of Burgas, Pomorie, Sunny Beach, Nesebar... are within an hour driving away. Not far from the village of Mamarchevo is located the second biggest artificial lake in Bulgaria - “Malko Sharkovo” with an earth heap wall of 55 cub. m. maximum content suitable for fishing and water sports. The village of Stefan Karadjovo famous for its healing mineral springs is within a short distance driving away. Another advantage of the location of the village is its easy access to the Bulgarian-Turkish Check point, giving the opportunity to visit another country with interesting different culture and habits.At the time of Osman invasion there used to be just one farm at the place, where the village is located nowadays.
